The Brazilian government expresses deep concern over the escalating global tensions following the reestablishment of the Soviet Union under President Vladimir Putin. Brazil firmly upholds that diplomacy must remain the only path forward. We call on all leaders, including Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, to step back from the brink, lay down their weapons, and engage in serious diplomatic negotiations to prevent an irreversible global disaster.

Our position remains clear: Brazil does not take sides in this conflict—our sole allegiance is to peace. The world cannot afford reckless escalation, and history has repeatedly shown that war leads only to destruction, suffering, and irreparable loss.
